For most Cordelia sailings you don't need a long flight. Cordelia leaves from ports most of us can reach by road or a short hop: Mumbai, Goa, Kochi, Chennai and Visakhapatnam.
The company started operating in 2021 and has been adding ships and routes since. The Empress and the newer Cordelia Sky sail today, and Cordelia Sun joins them in 2027.
Most trips are short. A 2-night sailing out of Mumbai is how a lot of people try cruising for the first time, and there are longer routes to Goa, Lakshadweep and other stops along the coast. Some itineraries go on to Sri Lanka, and Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand are due to be added in 2027.
Rooms go from compact interior cabins up to suites, so there's usually an option for most budgets.
Evenings are the busy part of the day. There are live shows, music, a casino and several places to eat, with plenty of Indian food on the menu. Days are slower: the pool, the spa, a long lunch, and a lot of sea to look at.
