After breakfast at hotel in the morning, visit Amber Fort (11 Kms from Jaipur), a marvellous Rajput architecture built by Raja Mansingh-1 in 1592. Located on a hill overlooking Maota Lake at the forefront, you can reach the top of the fort on foot, by Jeep or on elephant back. The interiors of the fort are simply stunning where royal halls are decorated with intricate ivory work and exquisite wall paintings that are a delight to witness. Further visit to Jaigarh Fort (3 kms further to Amer Fort) and located 400 meter higher than Amber Fort built by Sawai Jaisingh-III. Witness Jaivana here, the largest wheeled cannon ever constructed.
Then we take a Jaipur City Sightseeing tour. We drive past Hawa Mahal- the five-storey Palace of Winds with spectacular pyramidal shape and intricately carved windows. Make a stop at City Palace, an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal Art built by Maharaja Sawai Mansingh-II and get awed with the architectural beauty of Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Maharani’s Palace and Sri Govind Dev Temple. Make a visit to City Palace Museum to see the fabulous collection of royal princes’ robes, carpets, armoury of old weapons, miniature paintings portraying court scenes, battle scenes and processions.
